We are a family of weavers. [Our story — text to come from the owner: where the workshop is, who weaves, since when.]
Our story
We don't trade rugs. We weave them.
One family workshop, wool we choose ourselves, dyes we cook ourselves.

A rug should be seen, and felt.

The craft
From a sheep's back to your floor
Four stages, all done by hand. A large rug takes most of a year.
-
01
Wool & spinning
Fleece from mountain sheep, washed and spun by hand into strong, uneven yarn.
-
02
Natural dyeing
Madder root for red, indigo for blue, weld and pomegranate rind for yellows.
-
03
Knotting
Row by row from the bottom, following the naqsheh: one square on paper, one knot on the loom.
-
04
Washing & finishing
Washed in running water, sun-dried, clipped and finished, then numbered and documented.
